AC DC :
I just got an iphone and I was wondering how do I download music on it using the ipod nano usb pc charger.

Erica S :
hey if you want to transfer your music from ipod to iphone then you need to download music first onto your PC and then use the itunes to transfer them to your iphone. you have to sync music while transferring all your music. if you want to download more music then you can try where you will find all the latest and updated music from any artist.

How do you put music on an iphone without using itunes?

Randrom :
Itunes is acting up for me, is there any way to bypass itunes and put my music on my iphone directly, and not have it mess up my phone?

stugots343 :
No!! The ipod/ iphone is designed to run off of itunes any other method would result in problems. Uninstall itunes, than reinstall it. That should fix any problems you might have. And it won't erase any of your songs or anything.Plus if you could put music on a nother way than all your apps, contacts, pic would be lost.

man290663@btinternet.com :
You dont the ipod and iphone are designed to be loaded by the itunes only!! adding files to the memory will NOT make them play as it won't update the hidden library files.

reinstall itunes by downloading it on the computer you want to run it on from www.apple.com/itunes. & restart.

also check that you have the proper full power 500mA capable USB2 ports (most laptops only have 100ma ports and that causes problems).

The ipod is designed to work with and be the slave to itunes on the computer to which its paired.

If you do not pair a ipod to a computer you cannot alter its settings.

If you pair your ipod to a new computer it overwrites what's on it.

Simply dragging music onto an ipod does NOT make that music playable it then acts as hard disk. To make the music playable you MUST use itunes to sync with it as only itunes can put the music files in the correct file names (not the same as on the computer) in hidden folders and create the hidden indexes for them to be playable.

When you pair the ipod to a computer it erases ALL the previous library and tracks and replaces it with what the current computer want it to.

if you want to erase the ipod you select RESTORE form the ipod's tab in itunes then it re formats and re installs the ipods firmware resetting everything to default values and removing the lock (except for the touch which asks for the code to allow this)

the ipod needing a master player to sync with is NOT unique to apple Creative, Zune, Sony al have one of one sort or another.

How to download free music to my iphone?

Rap man127 :
I have just bought an iphone 2G and when I put it into my computer with the USB cable Itunes isnt detecting it, I have the latest version of itunes and all the updates etc. I have a good computer at good speeds, why cant I download any music to my iphone and when you do where do you find them if you dont have itunes on your phone. If you dont need to have music where are the ringtones on iphone.

Mary :
Let's talk about downloading FREE music the right way.

P2P (Peer to Peer or file-sharing) software like LimeWire, Ares, FrostWire, IMesh, BearShare etc., while popular, are risky in nature, slow and virus-prone, besides the fact that they slows down your computer.

If you want to download music fast, free, secure and safely go to:

It's a specialized, free, powerful search engine for finding music to download for free.

It searches many (80+) carefully-selected direct-download virus-free sites that doesn't require you to log-in nor register.

There you can find pieces or even entire albums and then download-it without downloading any software nor other complications.

It's free, accurate and secure, but a little tricky, maybe you have to learn how to use it but the site explains all you need to know in order to find and download music. Once you learn how to use this powerful search engine, you'll find -and hence could download- almost anything you want, forever!

Because it's Google-based, you can use for your search all the power of Google, like using entire phrases enclosed in quotation marks, make use of AND, OR, and - (for excluding words/frases), etc. Then in just one powerful search you look at more than 80 music sites simultaneously!

Good luck & happy downloading!

Grahtansedss G :
You can download many free videos on the movie download sites listed on the following page:

iTunes only support MP4, H264 video formats. There are some useful guides about how to rip DVD to iTunes and convert videos and TV shows to iTunes for iPod, iPhone, etc, it works well for all the Windows and Mac OS users.

Also, you can find some other software:

For mac users, you can choose this DVD Converter Suite for Mac:

Erica J :
hey first of all i would say that it doesn't matter whether you have a good PC with good speed. it's a matter of how you operate and get to know the program to use it on your PC. i don't use iTunes to transfer music because kptunes gave me the way to transfer my music into my iPhone without any hassle. i have been using kptunes to download music. kptunes works great on my PC and never ever slowed down my PC. i am happy the way it works. they have the largest network and huge database. if you are ready to download music without any hassle then try using where you will always find your favorite music from any artist of your choice.

Good Luck

Giles S :
Join here If there's a faster, easier download program, I've never seen it. I can get any music/video piece I want at lightning speeds! You name it, i can download it only through Flickr Music.

Try

Try it our it is the best out there, highly recommended.

Ericsson :
You can try

You can download straight from there or you can just listen to the music from there.

No need to download any programs, just download the mp3's directly from the website!

:) :
limewire

Knownot :
I would suggest that instead of downloading from Rhapsody, Napster or Limewire, you use the Free Youtube to Mp3 Converter from www.dvdvideosoft.com for the following reasons:

1) Sharing

- With limewire, they want you to share the songs you download and the songs you have. Now you can turn this option off, but who wants to sit there for hours siftingthrough thousands of options for the sake of a couple of songs? With the software I recommended, you don't have to share sh*t (Excuse the language)

2) Preview before you play

- With limewire, you have to start downloading the song before you can preview it. Now this might not sound like a problem to most, but for people with super fast internet connections that can download songs at the speed of light, you won't have the time to preview it before it plays because it would be on your computer before your mouse could get anywhere near that play button. Now suppose it's a virus and not the song you wanted? You see, Youtube of course lets you play the video (they don't expect you to download, so playing the video is the only thing you can do), which not only allows you to check and see whether or not it's the right song, but you can check its quality as well.

3) Virus Risks

- See, Limewire downloads from other people's computers meaning that they could've downloaded that song from anywhere. So it could potentially be a virus. But ask yourself: when was the last time you heard about Youtube having a virus? Youtube performs maintanence nearly everyday, so even if they were to get a virus, they would detect it before it could do any serious damage to the site itself. Plus, this is Google, the masters of coding/programming. Hell, they probably made their own anti virus software to scan the videos before they're actually uploaded. You have to realize: Google is a huge company. They wouldn't let some bad computer code cooked up by an amateur hacker destroy something they paid over $1 billion for.

4) Settings

- When you download Limewire for the first time, you don't automatically start downloading music. You have to first configure what seems like thousands of unnecessary settings. These range from turning it on and off as your torrent client, to the quality, to what types of files you would like to share (why is that even there?), to settings that talk about proxies (you're probably thinking "What the hell are proxies?"). Basically, it's too much of a hassle for those of us who simply want to download a couple of songs. Well, with the software I suggested, you only do four things:

- Install

- Select the folder

- Select the quality

- Download your songs

5) Wider Variety of Music

- True enough, Limewire, Napster and those other sharing sites have a pretty large collection of songs, but when it comes down to it, Youtube is the biggest. Admit it, every song that you couldn't find on Limewire or iTunes, you could easily find on Youtube. Not only new generation songs, but songs from commercials and old/new TV Shows, 80's hits, classic rock, Def Jam Poetry, exclusive remixes, underground rap, extremely rare tracks that you thought you would never find. You're in luck especially if you listen to Hip Hop or Rock simply because of the huge amount of remixes that can be found on Youtube. Most of which can't be found on Limewire, and certainly won't be found on iTunes. But you're thinking "I don't know how to download from Youtube!" Well, now you can.

Now, for my last point (I'm almost done, stay with me), I would like to emphasize what I stated about sharing. Now even though Limewire claims to share only the folder you told it to, you have to understand the immense amount of skilled hackers there are. You see how people who have never even heard of Limewire get their computers hacked every day, and Limewire damn near provides the tools with all of this "folder sharing" business. Plus, Limewire shares your IP Address (just like torrents), which is basically the key to your internet connection. Basically, this program kicks Limewire's ***, but in case you need further proof, let's weigh the advantages and disadvantages:

Free Youtube to Mp3 Converter:

Pros:

1) Shares absolutely nothing, not even the IP Address. You're not required to share with anyone else.

2) You don't have to configure 1000's of settings as soon as you start the software (as you do with limewire). You just pick the folder you want to save it to, and then start downloading

3) No viruses.

4) Preview before you play

Cons:

n/a

Limewire:

Pros:

- You can download free music

Cons:

- Everything else

Now as I said before, this software is completely free, and can be downloaded from www.dvdvideosoft.com

Transferring music on iphone without deleting?

S U ii G ii N T O U :
I have some songs that I'd like to add onto my iphone, but the problem is, when I decide to sync, it tells me that it's going to swipe the iphone before doing it. Now honestly, I don't mind it swiping the MUSIC files, what I don't want it to swipe is the rest of the iphone, so my question is actually, will itunes swipe only the music files, or my entire iphone and start from zero, because there are some things on my phone that I can't afford to loose.

Elsa :
Only the media files would be erased.

See

Yet, if you want to keep all music and videos, it's simple, too. All you need is to use an iPhone transfer program, like Tansee iPhone Transfer

The whole process is simple.

When you connect your iPhone to your computer, it will instantly display all music/videos on your iPhone. You simply select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer completely and safely. Now you can easily add those songs and videos to the local iTunes library.

It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Hope these can help.

How do I transfer music from my iPhone back to iTunes?

Mrs. Nowlin :
I had to restore my computer .. How do I transfer music that is on my iphone already back on to iTunes?

rrpslayer :
check out a program called idump

Sam :
If you purchased the music on your iPhone from iTunes you can plug in your iPhone to the PC and click File and then transfer puchases. That will move over any content that you purchased from iTunes from the iPhone to the PC.

If it is music you have imported or gotten from another source you need to move it to the new PC via CD or other means.

luisa_rt :
In the blog "Mi iPhone 2G (¡y también 3G!)" at you can read the answer and download the neccesary software. It is in Spanish, but you have a translation device.

To make a long story short you need the program, 3herosoft "iPhone to Computer" that will make the trick. It is shareware.

How do you put music on iPhone?

Chantal T :
So I just got iPhone 3g. Figured I'd ask before I start tinkering, cos I'm not that great with techy stuff. Can I only put music on it from itunes, or is there a way to upload my music from Limewire? Or another filesharing site?

thanks!

Oh, one more question, has anyone's phone broken accidentally yet?

lordchacko :
I have an iPhone so I know what I'm talking about. First, if you're not worried about getting viruses, then you can use Limewire. Otherwise, I'd use some site that you can but like $15 passes for unlimited songs. But yes, if you download the songs to your desktop, then just drag them into iTunes by clicking the middle button in the top right corner of iTunes (if ur on a PC) then so that you can the the file on the desktop and iTunes, just drag the file in. If iTunes can't play it then use a different site (just search google).

And if the song play in iTunes then they will play on your iPhone without any problems.

How do I listen to my music on my iPhone without the earphones?

justME <33 :
I already transferred the music onto the iPhone and I have the earphones that came with the iPhone but can I still play music without the earphones?

drtwainishere :
it should sound without earphones. just check the volume and if it is in silence in the left side of the iPhone

qianruncui :
Yes. You can listen to music on the iPhone without the earphones because the iPhone has built in speakers on the bottom. Just play the music without the earphones plugged in. You can also raise the volume by pressing the side volume buttons or by pressing the home button twice.

Can I add music to my iPhone from another iTunes library?

LC :
My iPhone is synced up with my computer, but all of my music is in iTunes on my mom's computer. Can I hook it up to hers to add my music? Or will that mess anything up?

Andrew :
Itunes doesnt allow you to add music to the iphone. it only supports syncing music. You an use it with a different itunes account, but it will erase the music you have on the phone now.

Nothing to be sorry about.

You don't need to buy an iPhone and iPod if 8 or 16GB of music is enough for you.

The iPhone is just an iPod Touch that you can make phone calls with. Its music playback capabilities are equal to any iPod. You can plug in head phones and it does use iTunes and other music software.

I have got a second-hand iphone, but i do not know how to transfer music to it,which is really

a problem to me.Would you please help me ?

sergeavakian5freefree :
Hey,my friend is using iphone. He used to have the same problem as you,and he got a converter from the Internet to solve his problem. This the Website he visited:

slowedtrans :
It can be transfered only through Itunes. You will need itunes 7.3 or newer. You will need the USB 2.0 cord to connect it your mac or PC.

hadmrf :
Actually the answer depends on if you have a sync cable with your IPhone, this should not be a problem once you have installed ITunes on your PC. Once you have ITunes and it has the music format changed to ACC (something ITunes does automatically) all you have to do is connect said cable to both PC and IPhone.

What should be known, is that although the IPhone has both Cell Phone and IPod capabilities each one is independent from the other. All this means, is that once you are connected and synchronized it really depends on your personal IPod config. That is, if your music does not sync, it is very likely that the problem resides on your sync configuration.

How do you add music file to iPhone without resynching?

djbennett999 :
Music files on iPhone are greyed out in iTunes. How can I drag one music file to iPhone without having to resync all music files? I'm using original iPhone.

italian.scallion :
The only way you can individually manage songs is to click "manually manage songs and videos" on the device page when you plug it in. I believe this will remove all songs and videos from your iPhone, so you have to re-load what you want onto your iPhone, but from then on, management is really easy. I recently made this switch because I had more music than would fit on my iPhone if I wanted all my videos on there too. The re-sync process (which isn't really complete syncing, since you're dragging and dropping what you want on your iPhone) doesn't take terribly long - you could just set it to go when you go to bed and then it'll surely be done when you get up in the morning, and then you can remove/add items as you please.

Why does my iPhone pauses music for no reason?

original_p :
My iPhone sometimes rarely pauses the music playing for no apparent reason! I, of course, lock it (turn off the screen) before putting it in my pocket or anything.

At first I thought it's because I was multitasking and it was just too much to handle but even when I'm only listening to music sometimes it still happens and I really don't know why, it's very annoying.

Kim <33 :
idk.. are you sure you're locking it?? If you continue having problems I would take it back to the provider and see what they can do..

Hope I helped!

How to get music off iphone onto computer or itunes?

James_pwn! :
Hi, is there a way of getting all my music off my IPHONE onto either my computer or itunes. I know there is a way but what program do i need to download?

I dont have a mac btw

Thanks in advance! XD

St eve :
My friend recommended Tansee iPhone Transfer for me and it worked fine.

It is a handy transfer program specially designed for copying all iPhone's songs/videos to computer for backup and then you can easily add them to the local iTunes library. It ensures easy, complete and secure transfer.Simply help you create an iPhone copy effortlessly.

It even has step-by-step guide.Hope it helps you, too.

Rainy F :
itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to iphone. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between iphone and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

digitalboy :
hi, i recommend you Aiseesoft iPod to Computer transfer.

it can transfer songs and videos from iPod/iPhone to your computer easilly

Free download it here:

just have a try and i hope it will be helpful to you.

Use ephpod!:):)

Its great, i use it to steal my friends music :D haha with permission of course:D

Heres the tutorial i used:

Scroll down to where it says 'get the tunes off with a pc'.

Good Luck!

Sam :
If the music you have on it is music you purchased through the iTunes store, just hook up the iPhone to the computer with iTunes running and on your PC click File and then Transfer purchases on iTunes.

Best way to listen to music from iPhone through my flat screen TV?

MossWahoo :
I've read about various ways to do it... but from personal experience, does anyone hook up their iPhone to their LCD TV and listen to music that way? The speakers on my TV are pretty great. I don't see any reason to buy a Bose Dock when I could take advantage of them...

kobeisthebest :
Ya, you can buy an AV Cable for your iPhone so you can just hook your phone up to your TV and enjoy your music. I'll post the link to the cable from Apple in the sources. It is kind of expensive though, but you can always buy cheaper 3rd party brands online. Hope that helps.

How do you put music on iphone from different computer without erasing all music?

Connor :
I know you have to put it into manual mode, but whenever i put it in manual mode it says something about updating the iphone settings and to do that i have to sync it with that computer and erase all of the music on my iphone, what do i do?

Joeyyyy :
as far as i know or remember, it's just not possible right now.

simply cos the iPhone (or iPod) could have music that was bought off iTunes with DRM protection...

the only suggestion i could give is to just put all the songs from the other computer onto a usb stick or cd, and transfer them over to the new computer. otherwise im afraid, apple just don't allow it.

Kevin L :
Pop into iTunes and choose File --> New Playlist. Now rename it to something logical: I use "iPhone Sync":

Now you can just drag and drop music from your iTunes library (in iTunes, needless to say) into this new playlist. When you're ready, you'll see a bunch of music happily ensconced in the playlist (remember, it's all just "pointers": the actual music files are still safely in the main music library, so if you delete something from a playlist , you haven't deleted the original music file itself):

At this point, you need to plug in your iPhone if you haven't already done so. It'll pop up the usual summary screen:

Now click on the "Music" tab and you'll see that you can select "sync playlist". Do that, then select the new iPhone sync playlist you've created

Now click "Sync" in iTunes and it'll synchronize your playlist with the iPhone music library and next time you click on that ole' "iPod" button on the iPhone, your selections from you music library will be present

you cant APPLE you cn only use one computer but if you get music off ur phone direct time its that on one computer

Can I transfer music from an iphone to another without itunes?

jtl3692 :
One iphone lost its music and the other iphone has the exact music that was there. Is there a way to transfer the music from one iphone to another without useing itunes?

Jacky :
I came across this problem before. My friend recommended Tansee iPhone Transfer to me. And it helped me transfer all songs and videos on my iPhone back to computer completely and safely. Then I was able to add those files back to iTunes library.

You can give it a try. Free download it at

Here is step-by-step guide

Grahtansedss G :
You can try this software to backup the stuffs in your iPod/iPhone/iTouch. Recover lost or missing music, backup and restore all of your iPod/iPhone/iTouch content, including your favorite songs, videos, photo files and Play Lists, and that's not all. You can try this software to backup songs, videos, photos in iPod to PC, copy iPod songs, videos, photos to new ipod, computer or notebook.

Some useful information you can get on the official site:

Alex G :
I'm not sure if it would work with the iPhone, but Sima's Hitch device can do that with older iPods. Here's the link:

If that doesn't work, I don't think you will be able to.

michael f :
yes their is but you must jailbreak your iphone in order to do so.

here are the instructions i think you know how to read =D :

How to I transfer music FROM my iPhone to my iTunes?

kerri xcore! :
Okay well considering I am using a different computer since I last updated my iPhone with music, it will sync it, and replace my current music with all the new stuff I have. However I still want to keep my current music but I can't be bothered downloading it all because there is a lot of it. I was wondering could I possibly transfer my music from my iPhone into my iTunes library before I sync it?

cruzbonez818 :
u could try idump it works with all ipods

idump.com

oshanblue :
This is not possible with the iphone as you can only sync with one computer and the iphone (unlike the ipod) does not mount itself as a USB storage device. I too have an iphone and tried to do this from a hack i found where you change the "itunes xml" text, but i have nothing but trouble.

Hopefully this problem will be cleared up in an update soon as i can see no reason for this restriction.

how do i foword text messegess cos sum 1 sent me a text and i wanted to sent that text to sum1 else but i dont know how to do it so can u help me?and my phone is a iphone

Sheila :
As of right now, you cannot forward text messages on the Iphone. It's one of my biggest complaints about the iphone, next to the fact you can't send or receive multi media messages.

Hopefully Apple will release an update that will allow us to do more with text messaging on the Iphone.

whizinthevalley :
That is correct, there is no way to forward the text messages with existing software. They have been promising SMS forwarding for a while. Hopefully soon.

I am planning on getting the iphone when it comes out. I would like to know a few things about it. What are the pros and cons of getting it? Anything would be helpful!

CG

Yukon D :
Here are a couple of links to look at:

and

Basically this new version has faster internet, GPS navigation and ability to download(buy) applications such as games.

The Phone will cost $199 for 8GB $299 for 16GB. Then you will have to buy a voice plan for at least $39.99/month along with a Data plan for $30/month for unlimited web surfing, then a text messaging plan for $5-$15/month.

Expect to pay $80+/month for the full service plan. I would expect AT&T will let you drop the data plan and just use this as a sweet touch screen phone.

The phone has a very smooth UI which is fun to use, but lacks some basic features that might be very important for some. For example, it doesn't have picture messaging which is very important for some people but not for others. There might be an application that someone will create to accomplish this, but you will likely have to pay for it.

Take a look at the links above, there is a great deal of information out there. I will likely buy the 3G iPhone when it comes out, but might wait to see if there are some applications to buy that will fill in the missing pieces first.

Good luck with your decision.

Blue :
Pros:

3G network (fast internet and download speeds)

App Store (Ability to download 3rd party applications, such as games, medical terms and more)

GPS (Track where you are when you open up the "Maps" app, gives you turn by turn directions)

Cheaper ($200 cheaper than previous iphone)

Better battery life

Cons:

Plastic (May scratch more easily than the previous metal shell, but also has better reception)

Slightly thicker ( Slightly thicker than previous iphone because it has 3G and GPS. Nothing you can see with the naked eye though)

More expensive data plan (Previous plan was $20, now its $30)

I currently have the original iPhone. I love the user interface of it, very very simple to use. It feels great in hand, not made out of cheap materials. The battery life is great, usually lasts a day to 2 depending how much I use it. Hope this helps!

Deborah J :
iPhone pros and cons

Pros-

Reason #1 the iPhone is a technologically advanced phone

reasons supporting that, the iPhone has changed the way we think about cell phones and i think the iphone is going to change the way we think about phones.

Reason #2 the iPhone uses AT&T service which has some faults but in the end it always come on top

Reason #3 its a revolutionary iPod, with a gorgeous touch screen with multi-touch technology

Reason #4 its looks, speak for themselves

Reason #5 its lowered price I would easily have paid $400 for it but at its low price it cant be beaten

Reason #6 iTunes, if you look music on the go, the iPhone is great and the new iPhone may let you use the music application over 3g

Reason #7 durable screen

Reason #8 you can buy new applications from the iTunes store and you may build your own apps which is great for business users

Cons-

Reason #1 No MMS, not a big deal but it is a feature included in a ton of phones not nearly as expensive as the iPhone

Reason #2 Getting it will be a hassle but the feeling you get from opening the box is just amazing

Reason #3 No video recording capabilities and no 3 mega-pixel camera

Overall: The iPhone is the best phone period and i reccomend you getting it.

5 stars

ilovemonchats :
Hi, I have an iPhone, and I can try to do my best by telling you the pros and cons.

Pros- All your music, videos, pictures, and phone, on one machine. Easier than buying all the other machines. Fun to play with.

Cons- Hard to type, slow internet, can't send pictures on text msging, not very much memory.

Well I hope that helped you, and if you are planning to get a n iPhone, I would suggest waiting for the Generation 3 of iPhones to come out!

Good luck on choosing,

ilovemonchats

Esteban R :
The new iphone has great Internet speed and a gps . good games and music the touch screen has a awesome sensor and fun for people who love music, videos ,games, and of course talking. if you have hard math like algebra or above the iphone has a scientific calculator when its flipped.the 2.0 can now save images from the Internet. Its useful for planing and keeping track of things The new app store has tons of cool stuff to download and games as good as some in the psp. The camera has 2.0 mega-pixels but still good images and if you plane on hacking the iphone you can record video. the Headphone have a built in microphone. Thanks to the app-store and instaler.app you can add tons of things into it for themes to learing about the brain software. The bad part is that it only has 8 or 16GB which if you have a lot of videos is not that much space. If you don't hack it you will have to stick with at&t and have to pay $1200 in 2 yaers and only have 700 minutes a month. Also the new iphone has a thing that shows apple what you doing with you phone any where.the price has not been 100% true but right now they say its $200 for 8gb but in other country they say $499 for 8GB. The new iphone dose not come with a dock and the bluetooth is bad it cant transfer any thing at all the battery is longer life then the 1gen but we still don't now if it has to be replaced every year. the camera is still not taking good sized images but you can add some things to make it better.the new one is thicker but weighs less. The new one is made of plastic it looks good but gets broken easily . You have to have at&t to get the visual voicemail and 3g internet speeds. so a think is is a beautiful smartphone and that you can put a phone, ipod, internet, and now software so if you plan on hacking it and getting a different network other then AT&T read the contract if there is one. I hope you like the iphone its is at the end stunning object and i am also buying one but buy it on july 11 or after at the apple store to get the new version!!!!!!

Neil H :
First off. Everyone has there own opinion in a phone, as it depends on what suites them.

Pros:

*3.5 inch touch screen (8.89cm) diagonally

*Avaliable in 8GB, 16GB (Black or white) and the 32GB

*Listen to music

*Watch music videos or movies

*Surf the net

*Takes photos with a 2.0 megapixel camera

Cons:

*You can't edit photos, but can zoom in and do a slideshow

*You'll have to get use to the touch screen which has a builtin 'QWERTY' keyboard just like the letters on a normal computer keyboard. I'm not shore if there's extra symbols such as '. , / ? -' etc:

Hope this info was useful to you and if you get one I hope you enjoy it.

Tony F :
I am in Canada and I couldn't wait until July 11th to get my iPhone so I bought one in November of 07. The pros that I find is obviously the touch screen trust me I will never go back to a regular phone again, the large screen makes internet browsing way better and more efficient, Installer and/or AppStore give you a whole bunch of third party apps to download likes games, tweaks, wallpapers, themes etc. most are free. When I got mine I had to go through the hassle of unlocking/ jailbreaking it but you don't have to, also I paid like 500 for my 8GB, when they come here their gonna be like 199 for the 8GB and 299 for the 16GB. The only cons I have found is their is no MMS meaning the only way to send pictures is through email not text (they will probably add it in the future update) no video camera and only 2MP camera. (Installer has a Video Camera tweak which allows you to do video) Overall it's a sweet phone and wherever you go when you pull it out everyone says "WOW is that an iPhone"

eldemac :
I got my iPhone back in October and all I can say is that I absolutely love this device. Almost everything about it is a Pro. This phone gives you instant email access, instant internet access, the easiest texting available, and it's also a phone! I paid 400.00 for it an have not regretted it for one moment. If you're getting the new, less expensive, iPhone that is being released on July 11th then you are getting my phone with a faster internet speed and better applications, including GPS. It boggles my mind that they can improve on this device.

My only con is that I cannot upgrade yet, but amazingly, I'm okay with that.

And what does it matter that once you buy your phone they will already be working on something better to put out the next time? It doesn't matter.

Mikal :
PROS:

--GPS

--3G Speeds for wireless data. Meaning u can surf the web almost as fast as u can on a desktop

--Contact search for your address book. (If u have many contacts, u can type a few letters and you'll be shown who u want to call. )

--When u switch the calculator into landscape, u will have a scientific calculator

--An app store so that u can buy apps related to games, business, entertainment, and others. (most apps are free)

ONLY CON:

--$90-$100 a month.....and around $2000 after your 2 year contract.

noah b :
Don't do it. It takes some getting to use to texting but still a pain in the but because the touch screen is so sensitive. I had an 8 gig one for about a month and the frickin thing gave out on me. In my line of work i'm pretty hard on phones but in this case I happend to get blood on the touch screen part. So, I got a damp towel with a little bleach and started to wipe it down when water somehow got underneath the screen part. I dried it out and let it sit for a couple of days but now, the bottom half of the screen just works. The top half of the screen don't work whatsoever. Peice of junk.

BR0ADWAY B3AUTY :
i have the iphone. it has internet. if you go on iphone.beejive.com you can go on aim. the camera has great resolution. tells you the weather. has a built in ipod. you can chesk ur email. n it has awsumm maps with directions. you can also go on youtube. The things that are awsumm is that since i have the garage band application on my laptop i can make ringtones out of song and my own voice or whatever i want...... i also use it at parties for when theres a hot guy i dnt know. i just play with my phon a couple minutes and he comes upto me like "Yoo!! is That thE IPHONE??" it makes a great conversation starter.

Sach :
Pros:

-3G Network

-GPS

-Lots of 3rd party applications with the App Store

Cons:

-No user-removable battery

-The new 3G iPhone will actually cost more, because AT&T is charging $10 extra for every month, making the cheapest plan being $70 a month.

8 mile! :
I've read ur answers they are pretty good and useful....so there ain't no point 4 me telling u a lot lol, just gotta tell u : "don't listen to people saying no wait 'till the better ones come out and something' bcaz if u think like that u have to wait 4ever bcaz apple would keep updating and upgrading its iphones and so they get better each MONTH. second thing is that the CONTRACT might be a bit expensive(that's 4 sure) but doesn't matter 4 me bcaz it's worth it ;)

the third thing is that u will be able to add lots of features to ur iphone to solve the negative points by JAILBREAKING IT. For eg: u can jailbreak ur iphone to enable the VIDEO RECORDING, INTERNET PLUGINS AND LOTS OF OTHERS, there ain't no software to jailbreak a nokia N95 or sony erricsson K750 I or SAMSUNG U700....lol (just some examples lol) SO U GOTTA COUNT JAILBREAKING AS A FEATURE TOO.LOL

good luck with ur decision.

im getting an iphone july 11 for my birthday

Hope to see u in the store too....(lolzz)

Sam :
Major con of the next gen iphone is the cost (especially if you go the PAYG route which will work at about £369, alternatively you will have to sign up to a £30+ contract). I would never pay that, but im working on getting one from (just for completing a sponsor offer)!

spoiledrottenkid517 :
Apple does not make the first one anymore because they are bulking up on the new one so they don't run out the first day.

it will be released July 11, 2008

Pro's:

+3G

+GPS

+Cheaper

+Thinner

+New Software updates for free through iTunes.

Con's:

-Screen is Glass. But Durable. [ i droped mine a couple of times.. no cracks or scratches.

Bradford K :
The pros:

Everyone wants one

you can store your music on it (if you buy a big enough one)

you can visit yahoo.com with it

The cons:

It isn't cheap

you can't record video

you have to sign a 2 year contract

David :
you can't record videos with iphone

Mubsher :
i must recommend you go for the new model comming on 11th july.

I will simply say that i can manage all my webmster things from this device from phoning client to managing my hosting servers

ohhey :
dont get the iphone. Sure, its a cool phone, but 2 years from now, they're going to have a different model of it out. Think back to when cell phones were HUGE. They'll always evolve. Wait and get a better one. The iphone is probably top notch right now, so everything else that comes out is going to be molded from it.

Kiran.Baktha :
An iphone is just like an ipod touch, but it has phoning and internet facilities in it. It has an 80gb ipod video or 160 gb video ipod in it.

>>>>>>>iphone?<<<<<<<?

;D :
i was thinking about gettin the iphone for christmas,

but i heard some bad things about it :S

can any one tell me a few things about it?

Mauran T :
The Iphone is A pretty awesome phone. Aside from the touch screen feature it has a gps system which hopefully through updates will be from turn to turn which will save you from buying he navigation products they sell in stores. Also there are many Applications available in the Apple App store that are actually useful. One of my favourite ones allows me to find a name of a song thats on the radio or just playing somewhere. There are a variety of Apps and and games that will suit an individual. So overall it is a good phone, and well the bad things you probably heard were possibly from when it was released, and since then they had a bunch of firmware updates that touch up and fix most of the problems it had on release.

RICHARD V :
Listen, i love to have the latest phone. I am the type of guy that switches from company to company depending on who got the hottest phone and pay termination fees. That being said , the iphone is the best phone around hands down, no other phone comes close, its a gadget person dream, the only thing that suck about the iphone is the gps, but for that you get a garmin or you wait out sure they will eventuall fix that.

the only negative thing that can be said about the iphone is that the plan at&t makes you get its ridicuously high, i think i pay more on my cell phone bill then on my cable bill, however i still love it!!

amperisk :
everything listed above is what makes the iPhone great. What makes the iPhone awesome is the ability to jailbreak it and unlock so many more features and applications. These include, video camera, picture or video background, 5 icon docks, loads of free apps, nintendo games, sega games, and much more.

Martin :
In my opinion iPhone is, together with Nokia N and E Series, the best phone currently on the market. I do not know what bad things you have heard about it but in my opinion it is an excellent phone.

Martin

SςσττRΛSC² :
That's not a bad phone in any way.

Very versatile for its simplistic design.

Iphone music transfer back to a macbook?

Peter M :
Anyone know how I can transfer music thats on my Iphone back to my macbook. I can transfer purchased itunes music but I can't get my imported mp3 to transfer back to my library. I can also transfer bookmarks and contacts but not imported music.

Winy :
Yes. To transfer the non-purchased music back to your mac, you will need to utilize some iPhone transfer program to help you. I recommend this iPhone to Mac transfer program

It not only can help you Copy Music and other media files from iPod to Mac, from iPhone to Mac, but also can help copy music and other media files from iPod/iPhone to iTunes straightly.

It is easy and fast. I'm sure it will save you lots of energy and time.

Best luck!

Baldwin :
Try this iPod Rip.

It can fast rip, copy, transfer and manage your music, videos, photos, podcasts and TV Shows between iPod/iPhone and Mac with ease. All formats compatible with iPod are supported, even include iPod Touch and iPhone.

Im getting my first car. It's a 2001 Jetta. I'm trying to find out what kind of sound system I should get. I want one that really bumps and sounds good. I also need it to play my iPhone music. Anyone have any ideas?

House to House Heart to Heart :
Your cheapest route is to find a head unit (your in-dash CD player) that has an external auxillary jack (will be a 3.5" jack).

Once your music is given to your head unit, then your sound is totally dependent upon the remainder of your audio selections, such as speakers and amps.

For a Jetta, if you want some bump, get you a pair of 10" woofers and put about a 400 watt amp on them. If you want your mids and highs to sound better, replace your factory speakers with aftermarket components, and put about a 200 watt on them.

Why does the iphone need to be on a wifi connection to acess itunes music store?

footballnerd999 :
I understand wifi and everything, but there is one thing I don't get. How come apple made the iphone music store that you have to be on wifi to access it? I know that edge access would be slower, but that can't really be an excuse. Edge and wifi use the same internet, so why can't both access the itunes store?

o2btom :
Data transfer rates to the device itself. On the edge network, the chance of the data stream being interrupted before it can complete is higher, because of the size of file. They don't want to have to argue with people about lost transfers, and refunds, etc..

V-ball isnt a sport it's Luv :
cause Itunes is on the net so you would need Internet!!!

Iphone music....?

★☆Wabby✿❀ :
I live in New Zealand and the Iphone isn't out yet.

My boyfriend's family friend is going back to the USA in August and was planning on bring back an Iphone for my boyfriend, his brother and I.

I have a macbook and an emac and Ipod video, and have only ever had macs, so don't bother trying to convince me otherwise.

I did hear from a friend that you can only put music on your Iphone that you've downloaded from the Itunes store. Is this true?

remowlms :
That is not true at all. ANY music from ANY source that you can play in iTunes can be loaded and played on an iPhone.

Glenn :
This June Apple is expected to release iPhone 2.0, rumored to be 3G.

Just hope these newer iPhones can be jailbroken and unlocked as easily as iPhone 1.0 has been.

Just make a music play list (s), and in the iPhone settings in iTunes, just check that playlist and hit sync.

lOri j knOws;] :
NO THAT IS NOT TRUE!

that's like saying you can only put music from itunes into your ipod

uhh...no

your friend is wronggg!

Dune :
It would take them from your itune list, regardless of where you got them from, just like your iPod.

dmac :
no you cant i had the same issue because i have my iphone thru tmobile but when i had to take it back to tghe apple store i thought i could use my mothers att sim card but the iphone is different because the sim has to be an att sim specially made for the iphone but what you can do is what most people have done who have iphones but not att service go to ziphone.org and yopu can jailbreak and activate the phone , then you can use the phone and wifi and everything else the phone does with any sim you have

whizinthevalley :
Hi there,

#1. It will only work if your Cingular SIM is fairly new and is 3G capable, if it is older SIM, it won't work.

#2. It will work if you unlock your iPhone, it is fairly easy to do, Feel free to contact me if you need more assistance on that as well.

.... :
Yes, you can use it as iPod, but why do you wanna pay so much and use it as iPod. Get the iPod, it's much cheaper than the iPhone without a contract. If you need iPod Touch or iPhone unlocked, you can mail me or talk with me on Yahoo!

clarol54 :
No you cannot open it without an active sim card, now you can unlock your phone, but Apple will not help you with that, you will need to find a program or company that will.

how to transfer music from iphone to pc?

GuyInLove :
plz my old pc died and i lost everything in it including my music so all my music its still on my iphone so i got i new pc but how to transfer my iphone music to the pc? anyone?

St eve :
The most convenient way is to use an iPhone-to-pc transfer program. This is how many of my friends did. They used Tansee iPhone Transfer.

When you plug your iPhone to the computer, this program could display all songs and videos on the iPhone instantly. You simply select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer completely and safely. Now you can easily add those songs and videos to your new iTunes library.

It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.

Hope it helps.
