My iPhone sometimes rarely pauses the music playing for no apparent reason! I, of course, lock it (turn off the screen) before putting it in my pocket or anything.
At first I thought it's because I was multitasking and it was just too much to handle but even when I'm only listening to music sometimes it still happens and I really don't know why, it's very annoying.

idk.. are you sure you're locking it?? If you continue having problems I would take it back to the provider and see what they can do..
